2025 AIChE Annual Meeting

Our DCs Niklas and Jingkang represented the ProSafe project at this year’s AIChE Annual Meeting — one of the leading global events in chemical engineering.

🔹 Niklas delivered two oral presentations:

• “Large Language Model Agents for User-Friendly Chemical Process Simulations”

• “Designing the Optimal Adiabatic Indirect Cooled Reactor System for Renewable Ammonia Production”

He also presented a poster on “A Benchmark Simulation Model of Green Ammonia Production for the Development of Process Safety and Monitoring Approaches.”

🔹 Jingkang gave two talks focusing on advancing AI-enabled process safety:

• “A Multi-Agent Framework for Enhanced Chemical Process Fault Diagnosis” — where he demonstrated how Large Language Models (LLMs) can orchestrate tool-based fault diagnosis and generate operator-ready reports using multi-agent systems.

• “Robust and Efficient Fault Diagnosis in Chemical Processes via Model Ensemble and Neural Network Pruning” — highlighting how combining ensemble methods with model pruning can improve fault detection accuracy while reducing computational cost.
